photo friday: true blue

Posted by on June 15, 2012

For true blue, why not skies?
One over the state of Wisconsin,
complemented by a bright blue truck;
 two over Lake Michigan,
over a bright volley ball net,
and over a wedding ceremony,
which mysteriously was either about to take place,
or had already taken place,
although not a single soul was in the vicinity,
and another another containing a faint moon
and tiny airplane
over Washington, D.C.
I am feeling encouraged today. The apartment is a disaster, the girls have been loud and squirrely, making it difficult for the adults around here to communicate, and everything is teetering on the edge of potential frustration. Of course. Nevertheless, as a friend said to me last night: we are so close! I think we are actually going to leave tomorrow.

Photo Friday

Esme lost her very first baby tooth today, our last day in D.C. I guess the tooth fairy knows where to find us tonight.

Blue is my favorite colour because of the sky! Lake Michigan looks pretty – were you just there? We were at Lake Erie last week…the water was very cold!!!

These are old photos. When we lived in Indiana, we were only 45 minutes away from Lake Michigan, so we went many times. But yes, the water is very cold, so you have to wait for the hottest months to swim, and that leaves only a very small window in the year for beach going.

This is a nice collection. Love the abandoned wedding scene especially. Good luck with the move! oxo

Yes, that wedding scene is suberb! And again, I always look forward to the common thread in your series of photos. The choice of sky, being so immense and bright, seems most appropriate on this the eve of your new adventure! I'm so excited for your family, Julia!!

I, too, am fascinated by the wedding scene. A wonderful composition.
